Zora Weidkuhn
Zora Aziza Weidkuhn (1999, Basel) is a textile designer specializing in sustainable interior textiles. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, she took part in the Advanced Textile Programme in Tilburg (NL). Her Bachelor’s thesis on upholstery fabrics made from local wool was exhibited at Dutch Design Week in 2024.
Her work is characterized by the interplay of material, colour, and space, combining craft techniques with contemporary design. A central aspect of her practice is the careful use of existing resources: Zora develops projects that explore re-use strategies for textiles and other materials, translating traditional manufacturing methods into a contemporary context. She is currently working on prototypes made from local, natural textiles that bring together aspects of circular economy, local materials, and craftsmanship.
